at the Höhwald Inn in the small Walser village of Monbiel
at an elevation of 1,300 meters
This beautiful Graubünden house has always been a hub of social life. Originally, the Höhwald was a small inn with a shop that supplied the residents of Monbiel with daily necessities.
Since the early 1980s, it has been a restaurant where one thing was always heard particularly often: hunters’ tall tales!
But hunters have also always loved to celebrate their actual hunting trophies at the Höhwald—and continue to do so to this day. Since 2023, the Höhwald has been run by the host couple Mara and Thomas Graef. With their warm hospitality and a special focus on quality and service, a visit here is a true culinary experience.

Hot meals served continuously starting at 12:00 p.m.
Take a look at our menus. We’re happy to accommodate allergies and food intolerances on an individual basis. Thomas and his team will prepare suitable alternatives upon request. Don’t miss the wine pairings, perfectly matched to the menu.
From 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm, we’ll be serving dishes from our reduced menu.

Parking Spaces
There are a limited number of underground parking spaces available; please inquire about them when making your reservation. In winter, we’ll provide you with the code when you book a parking space. You’ll find another parking area a few meters above the restaurant. (About a 5-minute walk) – Monbiel Parking Lot
